The e3 vinyasa 200-hour teacher training program serves as a foundational learning and experiential laboratory over the course of one calendar year. You will learn foundational, applicable knowledge through experiential learning and self-study (svadyaya), coupled with extensive practice teaching. You will graduate from this training program with the skills and tools to confidently teach in a group class, corporate or private session... or know your overall practice on a whole new level then before you started the training program.
This is a training program that will teach you sequence formatting and will give you a solid blueprint to teach from using the built in e3 cues pertaining to embodiment, energetics and empowerment.

"Malia is a wealth of knowledge in both teaching and practicing yoga. She is truly dedicated to her teaching program. I feel confident enough to teach in a studio because of her guidance and support. If you are on the fence about whether to invest the time or the money in this program, I have two words for you: DO IT!"
- M. Still
At first, the idea of taking 200-hour yoga teacher training seemed ludicrous -- I was 53 years old, 20 pounds overweight, with a lifetime's accumulation of physical trouble spots. Even in my prime, I wasn't exactly the most physically active or graceful person around. I probably would never have even considered it if Malia hadn't been teaching the program. She'd been my teacher for two years, and I liked and trusted her; if she thought I had a chance, I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Malia's e3 program is comprehensive and balanced. It focuses on asana practice (a LOT of asana practice!), but also examines yoga philosophy, the Sanskrit language, chakra theory, Ayurvedic therapy, and other topics that every yoga teacher should be familiar with. The guest speakers were all wonderful, and discussed everything from chanting to chiropractic, improvisation to goal-setting. The homework was interesting and relevant, and the books she selected for the course were fascinating.
As a teacher, Malia is a force of nature, incredibly knowledgeable and focused. She sets high standards and doesn't go easy on her students, but she's confident enough to be flexible when she sees a need for it. And, perhaps most importantly, Malia lives her practice with integrity. She's inspiring, encouraging, and caring.
Taking this course has been one of the most challenging things I've ever done. It made me be present physically, mentally, and emotionally. It made me face my fears and insecurities, and watch as other people did the same. I've come out of it a better, stronger person in every way. I'm on a new path, and I can't wait to see what's out there.

"Malia is so amazing at what she does and how she supports her students through their journey. I couldn't imagine where I would be or headed if it wasn't for her and her guidance. This program was an amazing hands on program and truly applicable training to become a successful yoga teacher. Taking my knowledge deeper by learning and studying all aspects of yoga - anatomy, yoga history, Sanskrit basics, The Business of Yoga, Ayurveda, Chakra Theory, Adjustment and Assisting training. All the tools and support to become your true authentic teacher and offer that in your teachings and a whole lot more."

format/ meeting times
this format worked great for me! as a working mom of a young un not sure how i would have done this without this kind of format. great for those who can't take 10 plus days off with built in benefit of maybe stronger bond with other attendees than if i had gone to an away training
good overview of yoga and different facets. developing sequences was good for me i am sure but i found it somewhat tedious
my favorite part!
we dove in right away which was intimidating but great - i think by the time i finish all the requirements to get signed off i will be ready to teach and i am not sure this is the case with other trainings i have heard about
about the program director
Malia is a gifted and kind teacher who is able to work with many different personalities and help each individual achieve their potential.

Thank you so much for the payment plan option and awarding me the e3 vinyasa scholarship. Both allowed me this wonderful awakening and process this past year. I am eternally grateful for this, truly. I am also grateful for your patience. Malia is one of those people there doesn’t seem to be enough good words to say about. From the first moment I met her it felt comfortable and natural to be around her. This is the welcoming energy she just naturally puts off. She was supportive from the get-go as well. Her positive yet realistic disposition is both infectious and inspiring and a big reason why I chose to take her e3 teacher training. I thought her curriculum was informative and well-rounded. It touched on many different facets in the practice of yoga and gave me a strong foundation to build from as I continue my journey with teaching. We were able to do a lot of hands on practice teaching and assisting. This fostered a safe and supported environment for exploration into our own teaching styles. This allowed me to gain some supervised experience which helped to ease the nerves of being a new teacher. Malia was always encouraging and confident in her students. Even after the training was over Malia continued to be a network of support. She has offered countless opportunities to teach at her studio as well as mentoring opportunities to discuss anything that comes up as a new teacher or in life in general. She is a treasured friend and mentor.
